Mark Sessumes has 15 years of progressive operations management experience in diverse manufacturing and production environments. Mark has worked in fabrication, assembly, remanufacturing, refurbishment, and processing plants for small companies and branch locatio= ns of large, multi-division firms. He has experience in both union and non-uni= on shops.
Prior to TMAC, Mark was Operations Manager for Spring Engineers, a family-owned metal fabrication business producing metal spring= s, stampings, and assemblies for oil tool and heavy truck applications. As Sen= ior Branch Manager for Greyhound Lines, Mark was responsible for operations and= had profit and loss responsibility for a multi-facil= ity, multi-state bus refurbishment operation. Most recently, as Plant Manager fo= r a division of National Linen Service, Mark engineered and led the financial turnaround of the operation.
Since joining TMAC, Mark has worked with companies rang= ing in size from 3 to over 3000 employees. They include operations in all types of manufacturing environments such as job shops, repetitive manufacturing, and batch processing/blend and fill operations. Industries he has worked with range from low-tech/no-tech such as foundries= and metal fabricators to very high tech integrated chip and medical device manufacturers. His projects with these companies have included Strategic Business Planning and Policy Deployment; Lean Manufacturing Training, Design and Implementation; Quality Management Systems; Set-Up Reduction; Efficient Workplace Organization, Inventory Reduction/Control and Management; Manufacturing Planning and Control Systems, and Facility Design and Relocat= ion, and Lean/Six Sigma Strategic Initiative Deployment.
Mark has trained over 1500 people in lean enterprise
techniques and has completed numerous lean projects resulting in millions of
dollars in impact. He is a Lean Enterprise Expert, certified Shingo Prize
Examiner, Texas Award for Performance Excellence Examiner, Lean/Six Sigma
Master Black Belt, and Training Within Industry =
(TWI)
Certified Instructor. Mark received his Master of Business Administration at
